This PCAP initiative provides programs incorporating the main cultural areas, being dance, classroom music, speech, drama and art/craft, all of which can be highlighted either through a thematic approach or taught on an individual basis in a classroom situation
Basically, the program aims to continue the process of improving a child's communication, emphasising the need to convey and receive ideas, thoughts, feeling and skills. All of these components are interdependent and form the core of this program that promotes the child's growth as an individual.
One item on the agenda of the third Area Meeting of each year is set aside for budgeting for the following year. During these discussions the Area management Committee determine the appropriateness and importance of the major initiatives that are an adjunct to the submission process.
Each year these programs are deemed worthwhile as part of a holistic approach to
overcoming isolation. These projects have money set aside from the submission process
to allow the projects to continue. These projects include; the instrumental music
program based in Charleville and supported in Roma, the Itinerant Cultural Pursuits

The Mobile Field Study Unit provides schools with the opportunity for camping and day excursions to areas close to the school setting. Whilst on these excursions, students and teachers participate in a wide variety of outdoor pursuits and environmental education activities.
In addition to the convening of camps in the immediate locale, the unit also conducts specialised study forums in National Parks around the region, thus offering unique learning experiences for students, some of these National Parks being the Bunya Mountains, the Carnarvon Gorge, Currawinya, Girraween and Storm King Dam.
A selection of activities will include orienteering, canoeing, archery, ropes courses, initiative problem solving activities, environmental trails, environmental games, bush art and craft, leaves, soil, trees, water, insects, animals, pollution, conservation, birds, plants, spiders and astronomy.
